Tahtalı church is located in Kayseri Soganlı region. When we go straight from the Soğanlı bazaar, it is the church at the end of the road. Tahtalı or santa barbara church is known to have been built in the V. or VI. centuries. It is understood that it was restored from time to time in later centuries.
The baptism of Jesus Christ, his apostles and guardian angels can be seen on the walls of the Tahtalı church. The saint jeans on a horse is depicted killing the beast. These drawings were later decorated with Byzantine and Seljuk motifs.
