St. Onuphrius church is one of the remarkable churches in Göreme open air museum. Another name is also referred to as the Snake church. The depictions in the church include drawings of the saints who lived at that time. The drawings still preserve their vitality. St. Onuphrius (Snake) church dates back to the 11th century.

When we examine the drawings on the wall of the church, Jesus Christ holding a pearl in his hand draws attention. On the other side, there is a depiction of St. George and St. Theodore fighting the dragon. Next to them are Helena and her son Constantine holding the real cross. The person standing next to the palm tree is St. Onuphrius.
