Located in the tourist area in Kayseri Soganlı village, the Serpent church draws attention as a church with a more lively interior than many churches and with many different depictions drawn in the church. It is thought that the interior of the Serpent church was tariffed in the XIV century. At the top of the church, the depiction of Jesus Christ was drawn in a large way.

The reason why it is called the snake church is due to the snake figures at the bottom of the interior of the church. The interior of the church consists of 3 parts. One part of the wall consists of soldiers with spears in battle formation, while on the other side, Jesus Christ and the photographs of saints are depicted. Saint Jeans on a horse is depicted attacking snakes and wolves. The Serpent church is known as a place to be seen first and foremost in the Soganlı region.
